White Guide Nordic: Serving up the Nordics – once again
As before, we’ve travelled to the far reaches of the Nordics to find interesting dining venues, including Greenland (2 entries), the Faroe Islands (5 entries) and Svalbard (2 entries). We’ve also travelled east. Last year’s edition gave a sneak peek into the gastronomy of the Baltics, covering Estonia. This time around we’ve included all of the Baltic countries, resulting in 60 entries in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

There are just a couple of hundred hotels operating in functioning monasteries in the world. Hospitality in such institutions may be of two different levels. In some places accommodation is offered for a symbolic cost, the Rule of the Order has to be followed and only basic level of hygiene and comfort is available. Monasteries functioning in historical buildings sometimes run high-end hotels with upmarket hospitality services, cutting-edge technologies and gourmet restaurants.
