Beautiful surroundings and delicious food for a decent price. Easily close to a Michelin star restaurant for around 50 euro per person for a 5 course meal with drinks.
It doesn’t get better than that. They have a huge wine menu and got plenty of beer and cider. They also boast a full 15 different water bottles that you can enjoy for your meal.
“Unique place for restaurant”
It is always amazing to visit restaurant in some interesting, unusual place as “Monte Pacis” – in one of Pazaislis monastery buildings. Restaurant is small, but during warm season it has a large restaurant courtyard with tables.
Food is very good, meniu changes quiet often, you can get business lunch during working days. High level restaurant.
Personnel is friendly.

Best food in Litouwen. Stumbled across this establishment by coincidence when visiting the monastery. We had a business lunch which is very cheap. Duck croquettes, Mahi for me, porc loin for my husband and all delicious and beautifully plated. Menu was € 7,50 (!) Please visit this place and enjoy!!!
“Exellent food in nice historical Baroque style building”
I’ m very happy and proud that in Kaunas we have so high level restaurant, no needs to fly to Paris:) – wanderfool tasty modern food- marinated salmon with tuna starter, duck breasts – so melting in the mouth and creamy, light chocolate – mascarpone desert- everyting very nice presented personally by chefs in nice Baroque style atmosfere.
“If in Kaunas do not hesitate”
We stopped here for business lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The place itself in a very old and historical building is charming and very relaxing. High ceilings, antique furniture, nicely decorated tables. For daily lunch you can choose from 2 mains and add a salad, soup or desert. We had salmon with mussels and bulgur for main, very delicious and nicely presented in warm up plates. Pumpkin soup was good. Could not resist pana cota. 2 sets with tips were below 20€, worth every penny and could have paid more 🙂 outstanding service. I had a look at their regular menu, not big that is a good sign in my opinion and prices seemed very reasonable knowing they are considered to be one of the best 20 restaurants in Lithuania. Looking forward to going there for dinner sometime. Highly recommend to visit once in Kaunas !
“Nice experience”
This is not just a restaurant: it is an experiece. The cook is more an artist: makes creative combinations on your plate that will surprize you. And yes: It tasts very good!
“Gourmet dinner , nice rooms”
We have spent a day in there. Nice service, friendly staff. Diner was really nice and very tasty. All organic home made dishes from chef menu. Room was not big but well planed out. Breakfast was extraordinary with three stages of appetizer, main dish and dessert . I would hardly recommend to visit. Something new to taste and see. Would suggest it for people who enjoy gourmet foods.
